We use a box, which has been manufactured specifically for us, to send out orders, and package either four marginal plants or one lily per box, taping the boxes together for larger orders. The height is approximately 53cm and the width/depth 26cm.
For example with marginals. We place the order in a square, maximum of four, padding it out if there are less than four, and place in a bag. The bag is then lightly sealed, placed in the box with some light packing using newspaper. The box is then taped up using packing tape that states FRAGILE, and the box states THIS WAY UP.
It is a similar process for water lilies, but there is only one per box.
Care is taken when packing to minimise the risk of damage due to the plant being too tall for the box, but sometimes we may have to cut or trim leaves in order to fit the packaging.
Delivery is usually by Parcelforce Next Day or some small orders may be sent using Royal Mail First Class Post. You will receive an email from us when your parcel of plants is leaving the Nursery. Your mail order parcel should arrive within 24 hours of dispatch via the Courier in a standard delivery area (48 -72 hour delivery for Highlands and Islands) and can be tracked on the internet using the code enclosed in the email.

Can you please tell me are your plants supplied potted up or bare rooted
Thankyou
They are supplied potted up, exactly as shown in the photos (are they not showing up)?
Except for the surface cover plants, obviously
I bought the wild pond plants do I need to repot plants into aquatic pots.Sorry if it seems a silly question but this is new to .net.
If you bought a pond plant scheme or kit, they would have got a contour basket which you would plant the marginals into IF needed, depending on whether it is a lined pond or clay lined pond, plus if you have a suitable shelf to put it on to.
If I buy the 1 litre marginals do they need repotting into aquatic baskets with suitable planting medium.
Hi sally, yes they will if planting in the pond.
Can you ship to Republic of Ireland?
Unfortunately not.
I submitted a mixed order today, 23 May. (no.3414). ALL the plants are going into the pond.
Could you tell me please which will need to be replanted in aquatic baskets. Or, if it’s easier, which DON’T need to be!!
Good Evening Hugh,
The only ones will be the Iris and Ranunculus the rest are all ready to go .
Kind Regards
Eddie
I am only just digging my wildlife pond, is it better to order plants now and keep them in a tub or will I be safe in thinking I’ll still be able to order in 3-4 weeks ?
Good Afternoon Jan,
Depending on the plants you require ? I would say you will be fine to order later.
Are items on backorder shipped separately?
Hi Colette,
No the order will all arrive together when everything is available.
Hello, how long can it take for items on backorder to be available? Just ordered some frogbit. Thank you
Hi Sanna,
Weather permitting we hope to have the Frogbit ready to go in the next 10 days.
That’s great, thank you!
When do you expect to have frogbit available?
Hi Jill,
Thank you for your enquiry, we will hopefully have Frogbit towards the end of April weather permitting.
Kind regards
Eddie
What I cant quite work is whether the plants supplied in pots are in aquatic pots or ordinary ones. Please can you tell me?
My pond has a gravel bottom
Good Afternoon Lizzy,
Thank you for your enquiry, all Marginal plants are grown and posted fully established in 1 Litre solid pots and will need removing from pot and wash as much compost off as possible then plant directly into your pond.
Hope this is helpful.
I have just got the mysostis palustris and the Veronica beccabunga brooklime, I want to leave them in pots in my pond do I need to repot them into baskets?
Hi Helen,
If you want to leave them in the pots you will need to wash the compost off them and replace with pea gravel, you could use the same pots but it would be better in aquatic baskets or better still plant directly onto a shelf useing same method with pea gravel adding larger stones to hold in place until established.
