Hippuris Vulgaris (Mare’s Tail)

Description

An excellent Native British oxygenating plant with cylindrical stems bearing thin feathery leaves.

Foliage can be both submerged and emerged, thus being very adaptable to water depth and

providing excellent habitat for pond life, such as newts, frogs and other aquatic life, with the

emergent foliage giving an ideal launch area for emerging dragonflies.

Sold in 1 litre solid pot and will need planting in the pond.

Please note this is not Common Mare’s Tail (also known as Horsetail Weed – Equisetum Arvense), which is very invasive on land.
